To: You

Saved By Grace

You are not lost. You are loved.

There are moments when you feel like the darkness has taken over and your eyes are so sore from holding back the tears that you simply want to give up and give in, you want to throw up your hands and surrender to the hurt. Let it own you. Let it be you. But you? You are not made for darkness. You only choose to walk in it because in the dark it is easier to hide your sins and your scars. You were made to walk in the light.

You cannot walk in the light because you are good. You cannot walk in the light because you have no scars. You can walk in the light because you have been redeemed by the one who lost his life so that we might gain it. You have been purchased by the one who rose from the dead to show that He is indeed God! You. You can walk in the light. You do not have to let darkness take over. You can cry for today because there will come a day when your Heavenly Father will wipe away every tear and then you will finally be home.

Until then, you are loved. And on that day, you are loved. You are a messenger of reconciliation, you are a beacon of hope. You do not have to be okay all the time. You do not have to be “fixed” of all your hurts and wounds because God takes you as you are and loves you enough to not leave you there.

You? You are loved beyond what you can understand.

Know this, not only in your mind but in your heart and in your everything. Breathe it.

You are broken, you are loved.Β And this is not of your own doing or deserving. It is by grace.Β By grace you are saved, and by grace you are loved.

Today, do not throw your hands up and give into the darkness. Step into the light.
